The Puri Jagannathan Rath Yatra is famous festival celebrated in Puri, Odisha. The two-day celebration of Jagannathan Rath Yatra in Puri were started on 7th July. The President of India Draupadi Murmu were presented here to celebrate this grand festival this year. For this day lakhs of devotee from other countries come to celebrate this festival. The Jagannathan Rath Yatra begins on second day or Dwitiya Tithi on Sukla paksha to end on Tenth Day or Dashmi Tithi in Ashadh Mahina{month).

History of Rath Yatra: 

The Rath Yatra has ancient from the time of Puranas. Throughout from morning three charoite carry lord Jagannathan , Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra from Jagannathan Temple to Gundicha Temple. This Yatra symbolized as the lord Jagaanathan visit to his Mausi Home(Maternal’s aunt’s house). The three Charoite for this day undergoes the final process of decoration over months. The Skilled artist were give their best to decorate this charoites with silk cloths , fine wooden work , use beautiful colors to look it more beautiful and lots of flower to convert this charoite into divine charoite to complete this beautiful Yatra.
